Below on the left is a white-flowered Gardenia, and the showy scarlet Passiflora quadriglandulos, Rodsch. (syn. Tacsaonia sanquinea, DC.) ; above, Datura sanguinea, L., and Broughtonia sasnguinea, R. Br., with a cluster of Brunfelsia americana, Swartz, in the centre; a leaf of a Caladium, a spike of Lagerstroemia Flos-reginae and flowers and fruit of a Passion Flower (Passiflora alata, Ait.) on the right.
