429. Flowers of the Wagenboom and a Podalyria, and Honeysuckers.
Wagenboom or Wagon-tree (Protea grandiflora, Thunb.), like many of the other so-called trees of South Africa, is of quite small dimensions ; but its very hard wood is serviceable for making the felloes of wheels, etc. The Podalyria is P. calyptrata, Willd., one of a Considerable genus restricted to South Africa.
