This ornamental plant (Meconopsis Wallichii, Hook.) has several times been introduced and cultivated in this country, where, however, it does not develop its full beauty, owing, doubtless, to the impossibility of providing the climatal conditions it enjoys at its home at 10,000 feet above the level of the sea.
